GBL cues are all individually custom made for shop stock, no long waiting period for your desired cue, we've already done the waiting for you !

All GBL cues are made to my exact specifications and designs. Because there are so many different combinations of splices, exotic woods & veneers, cues produced can be one of only a few made to a particular design. This makes sure a player feels they have a cue that is more personal to them.

When buying a GBL cue customers can be assured that they are purchasing a truly top quality product. A very strict and time consuming selection process is undertaken when choosing only the finest cuts of timber to make our cues.

Shafts have been carefully selected for straightness of grain and are seasoned and dried at different stages of process, making sure that the cue has the necessary rigidity and firmness to produce a full range of shots.

The ebony used is second to none, you simply won't find better. Splices are perfectly formed and even, (this is something that only the finest cue makers can achieve) cues are naturally weighted, balanced and finished off with a blend of oils to give a smooth and beautiful looking cue .

I've been involved in cuesports for nearly 30 years. My CV includes being an ex professional snooker player. Currently I am an IPA pool professional and I am also an official world snooker coach. The idea behind setting up Green Baize came when my cue was stolen. I struggled to find a cue that really suited me because of the lack of specialist retailers. I therefore had to go through the process of having cues custom-made to my specifications which was costly, time consuming and unfortunately this did not work for me.

This unrewarding experience gave me the inspiration to set up a facility to help other players find their perfect cue.

I started off selling cues from some of the best UK cue manufacturers and as my reputation for quality products and a quality service grew, opportunities arose to have cues made specifically for Green Baize from a number of manufacturers. The expertise I have gained enabled me to select the best manufacturer to make our own brand of cues.
